Having previously lived in Wales, I moved to the Exeter area to study, and liked it so much that I’m still here all these years later.
My earliest introduction to counselling was when I worked in a Fertility Clinic in the local hospital. There was a counsellor attached to the clinic, who used to carry out supervision for the staff. Taking part in the process began my interest in counselling, and led me to look at how I could make changes in my life for the better.
That was the beginning of my journey to practicing in Exeter and with online clients.
I gained my qualifications in Counselling Theory and Therapeutic Practice at Exeter College and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Today. Note – make these hyperlinks to the educational association and profiles on the BACP and PT site.
Away from my role as a counsellor, I am a Governor at a local primary school, and volunteer with one of the nearby parent groups.
I was also part of an Expert Parent engagement Group for the Unicef Baby Friendly Initiative.
