We cannot change. we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then the change seems to come about almost unnoticed.
Counselling offers you the chance to explore. I think of it as a process of learning who you want to be. It can also help when you find yourself in difficult situations or are struggling with something.
Family issues, relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-esteem or confidence and trauma are just some of the areas that we might discuss.
But it isn’t just about when things aren’t going well. It can also be used to get to where you want to be. Your mental health can develop in the same way as your physical health. You can be perfectly healthy and still want to look for ways to be fitter and improve your physical health. The same is true of your mental health – counselling can give it a boost by exploring who you are, who you would like to be and how to get there.
